Launceston is our main station and the start for most passengers’ day with us.
The station you see today has all the ambiance of a Victorian country station – but nearly everything you see has been built here since the early 1980s. The original Launceston station is now the site of the Newport Industrial Estate and our free car park.
The first port of call for many visitors is our Gift & Book Shop where all our tickets are sold, as well as a range of high quality souvenirs and a wide selection of railway and local interest books.
Next door to the shop is our Café, which serves a variety of hot and cold refreshments.
Across the lane from the Cafe is our Transport and Engineering Museum, holding a variety of vehicles and machines from the days when British engineering was the envy of the world.
