This is an example of the famous Fordson Major fitted with a front end loader. Built in 1954, the spares for this tractor are still available. Many of these tractors are in worldwide use, usually being fitted with the Ford 4D diesel engine which is famed for it's easy starting. Here, it is used only for loading coal into the locomotive tenders.
