Museum

Launceston Station is home to our fascinating Transport and Engineering Museum, with a range of items from the days when British engineering was the envy of the world.
Exhibits include a collection of vintage cars and motorcycles and all sorts of interesting machines from the past, plus a range of railway equipment and memorabilia, including several items from the old North Cornwall Railway which ran through Launceston.
(Please Note: The motorbike and railway sign exhibits are displayed upstairs, those with mobility limitations should take care when accessing the display).
A number of items in the museum collection are still in occasional use. We often rotate or add new items to the displays where possible. In 2016 we opened a second area that exhibits a number of vintage cars.
